Here are two sections of the road up to Chimney Top Cemetery. The Penleys who lived up here were descended from Thomas Eldridge Penley, father of my great-grandfather, James William "English" Penley. I don't know if English lived on this mountain, but his oldest son, James Willie, lived here with his family in an old log house. According to my Dad's brother, my Uncle Fred, Uncle Jim neither worked, nor farmed. His cash crop was moonshine.
