I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago and when I came home, this pretty little goat was in our front yard. She belongs to Charlie Grizzle, but has been roaming the neighborhood for quite awhile. Nanny (not original, but it suits her!) has a problem with her feet and can't go far, but she's surprisingly hard to catch. So we just let her roam, and then chase her out of the yard after she's eaten everything in sight.....including some plastic leaves off the the birdhouse on the porch.
She seems to like this enormous lump of coal....or maybe she likes the fact that she can torment Minnie who can watch her from the window just above.
And here's Jake guarding....something. Maybe Nanny, certainly not the flowers in our flower bed!
Ah well. Most everyone has flowers in their front yard - but how many people have a goat? She can stay as long as she likes....or at least until it's time to plant in the spring!
