Allandale Falls, the apartment complex where Tom works as a groundskeeper, held a pool party in June for the residents. Everyone on staff had to pitch in and work that Saturday, but to soften the blow, families were invited.
This is the fountain at the entrance to the complex. Tom frequently has to put a "de-sudser" in it because the kids who live there just love to dump in dish soap or detergent and watch the bubbles grow.
This is the office and lounge, with a balcony that overlooks the pool.
One of Tom's responsibilities is to take care of the pool, adding chemicals and cleaning it, as needed. It really got a workout this day! The company provided lots of food, along with a DJ, dunking tank, moon bounce, and games and contests.
I think it safe to say that we all had fun, even Tom, though technically he was working.
His job was to watch the moon bounce - keep the big kids out, the little kids safe, and the parents happy. Of course, he ate lots of that free food, sat in the sunshine, and talked to everybody who passed by. And he got paid. Overtime.
Alex and Cait took a quick turn and bounced around.
Then all the Craleys jumped in the pool to cool off and horse around.
Look at that beautiful blue water....Tom did that! What a great job.
