Just a little bit of news this morning.....
Our fourth granddaughter was born early this morning to our daughter and her husband, Janelle and Matthew Anderson. Chloe has a little sister!
Her name is Ella Nicole and she weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. Jennie was scheduled to have a C-section on Monday, but went into labor yesterday, and was able to have Ella naturally.
Jen called us about 7:15 this morning and sounded over the moon. They'll be able to go home on Sunday. Matt's mother will be with them this week and I'll be going up next week.
I only wish my Mom and Dad were here to share in this joy.

- In 2008 Tom and I sold our house, packed our bags. and left Pennsylvania to live in beautiful southwestern Virginia. This is the country where my parents were born and raised and I felt a strong pull to be here in these ancient mountains. Unfortunately, illness struck us both and I wasn't able to keep up with this blog. But I'm going to give it another try and we'll see how it goes. As you'll see when you start reading, the pursuit of genealogy has given way to that of family fun. But never fear, a few genealogy projects are always in the works, and eventually some history will once again appear. Till then, I hope you enjoy reading about these little things that make up our life here on Copper Ridge. It's a good life. And we are so glad to be here.
