Girls' Day Out

Four of us made the trip today to Pigeon Forge for lunch and an afternoon of shopping. Judy, Nila, Aunt Wanda, and I left Kingsport about 9:30 and were sitting down at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant about 2 hours later. There was plenty on the menu to choose from, but Aunt Wanda, Nila and I opted for turkey and dressing, while Judy had the catfish. We rested a little on the porch a little to digest our enormous lunch. The girls posed in the gazebo for me.

And I snapped a shot of the front of the farmhouse.

Then we headed over to the barn to the gift shop and bakery where we picked up some fried apple pies to bring home. In fact, I'm eating one now.....
Later we spent a few hours at the Tanger Outlets (where they have a Coldwater Creek shop - yipee!) and fortified ourselves for the trip home at Ben and Jerry's. Judy drove, Aunt Wanda and Nila chatted, and shhh.....I napped.
All in all, a pretty nice day out with the girls.
